Privacy Policy

• •GPS location: Collected from your device during active race sessions only, to show your trail on the map.
• •Anonymous user ID: Firebase Anonymous Auth assigns a random UID so the app can attribute GPS data to your boat without requiring you to create an account.
• •Google account (optional): If you sign in with Google, your display name and email are stored in Firestore under your user profile and pre-fill the boat name field.
• •Boat name: Stored locally and synced to Firestore rooms you participate in, so other racers can identify your trail.
• •Crash diagnostics: Opt-in crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics. These never contain GPS coordinates or personal identifiers.

GPS data is used exclusively to render live boat positions and trails on the race map and to compute race statistics (speed, TWA, elapsed time). Location data is streamed to Firestore only while a race session is active and only under your explicit participation (you joined or created the room).

We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal data. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are collected to improve app stability and can be opted out of in Options → Privacy.

Race rooms and their GPS trails are stored in Firestore indefinitely unless you request deletion. Anonymous sessions are automatically pruned after extended inactivity. You can request deletion of all your data at any time — see the Delete Account page.

• •Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth): Stores race rooms, GPS trails, and user profiles. Data processed under Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
• •Google Maps SDK: Renders the map and satellite imagery in the app.
• •Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reporting. Can be disabled under Options → Privacy.
• •WeatherAPI / Open-Meteo: Fetches wind and sea conditions for race venues. No personal data is shared.
• •Google Play Billing: Processes SailR Premium subscription payments. Payment data is handled entirely by Google.
